Is it me or is this movie far more rewatchable than Silence of the Lambs

I find myself compelled to watch this anytime it is on Cinemax(which it has been a ton lately).

Maybe it has something to do with the pacing and narrative but I find this film to be much more re watchable than Lambs. I'm not sure if it's necessarily a better film than Lambs but I like it more for some reason.

I think this is Ratner's best work.

Anyone else agree?

It is you.

You are right, it is more re-watchable than silence of the lambs. Even though SOTL is the better film.

I think it gets better with multiple viewings. SOTL stays about the same.

I disagree, it's a good movie and I have re-watched it a few times but I find SOTL way more re-watchable. I guess it's like comparing a classic to an average movie.

Each time I watch, I've gotten to know yet another actor a bit better from other movies and watch from their view (naturally, not on purpose). Like, I never paid attention to Harvey Keitel in this movie and tonight I saw his character differently. Maybe this makes sense to another lunatic like me lol

I find Lambs endlessly fascinating, and compelling as an example of genius filmmaking craft (those POV close-ups really pull you into the characters). Red Drag is an enjoyable nuts and bolts thriller, but pretty disposable.

In Lambs, Lecter is a highly intelligent character played by a formidable actor at the top of his game, and explored by one of Hollywood's most sensitive and intelligent directors (who should make more thrillers!) In Red Dragon, Hopkins is phoning in to the fans, and Brett Ratner does rote thriller-by-numbers. No comparison.

This actually doesn't say much about the quality of the film.
