I need some help clearing up the clutter.

I was totally unfamiliar with the whole Ring saga, so I decided to start right at the beginning with Ringu (not bad, silly but not bad). I put on my list Ringu 2, Ringu 0 and the two American films.

THEN just as I was about to put Ringu 2 at the top of my Netflix list, I find out that there is something called Rasen. What is Rasen? A sequel? A prequel? A remake? An apology?

Then if I weren't confused enough, I learn that there is something called The Spiral, then The Ring Virus and then something upcoming called The Ring Three.

Could SOMEBODY please clear this up for me. What order do these things go in?

Okay,
First there was Ringu, which came out in 1998 and was followed by "Rasen" which means "The Spiral". Rasen and The Spiral are the same movie. Next, Ringu 2 was a sequel to Ringu because of how bad Rasen flopped. They pretended like Rasen never happened by releasing Ringu 2. Next, in Korea in 1999, they released "The Ring Virus" which is just a remake of Ringu. Three years later in 2002, the americanized "The Ring" hit theaters followed by "The Ring TwO" in 2005. "The Ring Three" is rumored to be next but for the moment is not certain.

Actually, right now I am watching the films in order so I just saw The Ring Virus and after this I'm on to the American remakes.
