DARK!

Am I the only one who thought the Powerpuff Girls Movie was dark and depressing? Ive realized that all cartoons that turn into movies are amazingly dark and overly-stylized. The Simpson's Movie, The Rugrats Movie, Rugrats in Paris, Recess: School's Out, and The Hey Arnold Movie were all very gloomy in plot, color scheme, and comedy. This movie in particular was pretty sad! Anyone agree?

Just saw the new 10th anniversary documentary on the box set of the whole series and Craig McCracken said that the movie was used to get the series back to what he had originally intended he said after the series took off it became this whole cutesy thing where everything was pink and happy and that wasn't what he had intended so the movie was done to bring the series back to what he wanted it to be.

Lets put a SMILE on that face!

A lot of series nowadays need something like that to happen. Spongebob has turned into an annoying brat. What happened the the geeky smart kid character he used to be?

Jesus loves you no matter what race, whether your straight or gay. He will save you no matter what.

At least he had a great movie and he has a few good episodes left, maybe like the Simpsons the plots are running out?

I never thought about it, but yeah kids movie do have darker tones than the show, what's up with that? Cool, wonder what a darker version of PPGs would have been like. I understand his dimilla, I would like to do drama, but it always goes to comedy.

I seen the movie right now. I agree. In my opinion Mike Lazzo and Ryan Robertson shouldnt be in this movie.
And i really dont know, what doing a freaking Adult Swim producer in a children movie ?

It definitely was, but I am not complaining. Sometimes, it is good to have a serious plot to end the franchise (Let';s forget about the 2016 reboot please?)
