Tire

WTF is up with the tire?

A little late in answering but I just saw the DVD last night. I thought the tire was offered as retribution for the loss of the child and represented somthing of significant value to the Bedouins. The apparently accepted this as compensation for the loss as witnessed by the Bedouins passing by the kneeling grieving mother and not stopping to comfort her but merely placing some covering in the tree over her head to protect her from the sun. A tire for a life? Not in our society but that may have been the point the director was conveying. Good movie though.

Ron Gettlefinger, the president of the United Auto Workers, has said as much.

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.
