Better story than either of the moves!!!!

Either of the two movies could have done a lot worse(and sadly they did)than use the story from this excellent game.

The first movie's plot was way too simplistic and the second's lacked any imagination whatsoever.

It's probably no coincidence that this game takes elements from the Aliens movie, which itself is a masterclass in how to make a thrilling edge of your seat action movie. No surprises then that it is such a good game.

Yet again, is another example of a game having more thought put into it than a multi-million dollar movie.

Part of the game's greatness came through its interaction with plot devices. Having to weld through a grate with a praetorian running at you, or releasing facehuggers to take down company security.........that was excellent.

You'd lose some of that satisfaction with a movie, because they aren't interactive. But then again, it still was better than either movie, though I felt it lacked the tension and atmosphere of the original game.

AvPGold is still the best AvP game imo.

And let's not forget that the musical composer did a MARVELOUS job of recreating James Horner's musical score from 'Aliens'...great atmospherics!
