That's awesome. Great news.

28 Weeks was fun on the surface and had some tense scenes but completely falls apart if you look too hard, nothing about how authorities handled the situation was realistic. Hopefully the 3rd movie will be better written.

reply

Please explain to us how realistically it would be handled.

Look at the mess the scamdemic for covid was.

I don't expect much from the 3rd I didn't really rate the 2rd one.

The way I look at it unless you have planned three films from the starts and written it in a way it never really works.

The obvious example is when the perimeter was breached, instead of sending everyone to their apartments (social distancing), protocol had everyone crowded into one big room putting everyone at risk. 28WL is probably one of the dumbest studio movies I've seen. Parts of it are entertaining, but it is often moronic. It's down there with The Core. Honestly, it might even be dumber than The Core.

reply

That makes no sense.

Social distancing for rage virus are you serious I think you need to lay off the covid cool aid you have been brainwashed both these are nothing a like.

I agree its not a great movie but its focused on american market so what you expect they dont like smart movies.

You group people together because its easier and less resources required to protect them.

reply

And how did that work out? It ended with everyone getting infected. Which is why in real life the way to battle infectious diseases is social distancing which isn't new BTW. Might want to lay off the Alex Jones Kool-Aid.

The Third movie should start after the virus was eradicated. People are back into their normal(?) Lives with precautions implemented. Schools, homes, and businesses with bunkers, lockdown shudders, etc... a sample is being studied and ends up infecting the workers in the lab. It's contained, but those running the facility must find a way to keep it from getting out. They use their protocols, but it fails and a new outbreak begins. Focusing one one family, they attempt to keep safe though it spreads as news continues to run story after story about the disease. Staying in the home, the paranoia grows as more people become stir crazy. They use the internet to lash out, tell falsehoods, and fight. Eventually, there is violence, but it becomes neighbor against neighbor. Realizing the social dementia of isolation was the issue, the people begin to draw back from the paranoia and go back to normal. By the end, the actual disease breaks out, but they fail to believe it causing a new spread. Problem is, it doesn't just spread through bodily fluids, it spreads from exposure to violence projected on the video feeds on the media. Now, all precautions are worthless and the only way to stop the spread is to shut media off and protect yourself.

Post covid 28 (timeframe) later.

That pretty much makes fun of everyone and makes them feel like they were right.

That pretty much covers the

That reminds me of Pontypool. Not exactly the same.

I would be interesting to make a statement about social contagions like transgenerism and maga.

reply

Do you have a qualification in this field NO I do.

It's a movie it would be very boring if it worked in which it does in the real world this is how they do it.

Come back kid when you have an education I expect you are one of those that think face coverings word help as well.

reply

Sure pops. Remember not to crank the talk radio too loud, it's bad for your hearing aid.

Not only that but I think 28 Weeks Later was stupid to keep focusing on UK when it was blatantly obvious that UK was pretty much done and they even had set up the globalization of the virus perfectly.
- The whole speech about quarantine of UK
- Finnish jet flying and sending them a helicopter

28 Weeks Later should have been film about NATO and Europe handling the situation

reply

It was too much like a Hollywood action/horror flick. The beginning of the movie was scary but it all went downhill once the dude escapes from the infected.

The first one was good because it looks low budget like Texas Chainsaw and Halloween.

Big budget horror movies are rarely ever scary.

reply

Big budgets make filmmakers lazy

reply

I guess nothing came of it.

reply

I guess they changed the title to 28 Years Later.

reply

At this rate it just may have to be.

Great news!

reply

I hope they are. They keep saying they are but never do..

reply

True. I've been waiting for the sequel since Weeks came out and if they will finally do it I'll be happy but this is not the first time news like this have come out and eventually nothing happened.

reply

I'm not sure how good this is going to be. Because sequels historically have never been as good as the original or 1st one.
Unless the 3rd film has some twist, or more than what the original story is about then I probably won't waste my time watching it.

reply

28 weeks later was pretty good though... so hopefully if a 3rd comes out.. it will be good as well

reply

28 Years Later 😒😒😒😒

reply

I love part one and two, however not sure we will ever see a third installment! Lets hope.

reply

I kind of feel like it will be more of the same though. Not sure what a 3rd movie could bring.
