I adore Gary Cole, so I want to give this a chance. I am not a fan of the genre and know nothing about Bee or Alcala. Does anyone think the episodes of other shows they directed stand out in anyway?

If I might guess, the girl you mean is Sara Michelle Ben Av; she fell down during the climactic shoot-out, and an officer later radios 'two down," referring to one cop and one bad guy. Since she's definitely not chopped liver, I don't know what to make of her being ignored. I hope that means she'll be back!
