Did Mr. Simpson dislike Spinner?

In the one scene they had (there might've been more) that I have seen is where Spin is battling ball cancer and all Simpson was concerned about was the fighting, you would think someone who had previously fought cancer would show a little sympathy and comfort Spin through chemo and such.

I think by him worrying about the fighting was him being sympathetic since cancer patients shouldn't be fighting

He seemed more concerned about the school's reputation.

Whether or not Snake liked Spinner on a personal level, as a representative of the school he couldn't very well encourage students fighting.
