A bit annoying?

First, let me say how much I love Grace and how much I've enjoyed the other Jeff Buckley music I've heard. But here's the problem, after falling in love with the mood and mystery of Grace, I watched Jeff on the Live in Chicago DVD and found him a bit annoying. Some of his comments judgmental. Perhaps taking himself way too seriously. Other problems with the DVD included lots of guitar tuning and a band that had no onstage chemistry, but did anybody else find Jeff a bit annoying? It really took away from my enjoyment of the DVD.

I think he didn't feel very comfortable with those girls screaming like crazy and more interested in him taking off his shirt than his music.
And also because people kept asking him to sing Hallelujah.
I read this somewhere.

Are you gonna bark all day, little doggie, or are you gonna bite?

Brother Angry Dave ruined it for me.

For the annoying thing....I think he was just kinda shy . I knew one guy that had his same temper...I also used to be quite like this.
That guy asking for Hallelujah...I hated him!!!
I'm not anglophone, so I didn't get all the things said during the show...e.g. WHAT were those girls screaming and what did he answer??

One more thing:
me too, until 20 days ago, I knew Jeff only by listening to a couple of his songs, and I was blown away by their mistery and magic. Now I've seen a lot of his footage, interviews, concerts and all, and I realized that, while he was not a perfect angel as I imagined him, he was a wonderful human being, full of life and passion, full of contradictions, humor, intelligence and fire. And now I cannot help to listen to his music night and day, and to love what he left us, as a huge gift I found on my way

from his star tours interview with merri cyr, he mentioned that he was a bit a drunk that night. he said it was his last act of defiance.

I heard somewhere the band including Jeff hated the whole concept of the concert being flimed and it was apparent in the show.
I understand how one could find Jeff annoying. He wasnt a typical alternative music singer with the typical presence of one either.Jeff had a different personality who tended to goof off at times, which was pretty unusual back then or maybe now.Singers were so serious back then (i.e. Billy Corgan, Trent Reznor, Eddie Vedder) .It would be rare to see them crack one joke on stage.
I cant remember if this was the show someone kept shouting,"Tim Buckley".That made Jeff annoyed hence making him annoying to watch.

I saw this Dvd at a friend's house and he was annoyed too by Jeff. There was a little lack of professionalism. For example, when Jeff would tune his guitar and tell the tech to adjust the sound and effects. I was surprised he didnt ask someone to adjust the lighting.
And whats with him and the audience? Maybe it was the the bottle of Cuervo he had that night. He had more interaction with them than his own band.
I hated how that roadie Angry Dave came up on stage to ruin Kick out the jams.
