I didn't even know it was a t.v movie until I checked this site out. I saw it in school and again on youtube.com and really didn't know. I do agree that this is way too good of a movie to be made for television.

Exactly, this should have been in theatres. I bought it from my local library a long time ago, it's really good.

Kinda, made for TV in terms of it premiered on SHOWTIME. So it's not like it was basic cable, but a premium movie channel. Great flick though...remember seeing it when it showed and tracking down the DVD when it came out...intense people are watching this in health class now!

this film is the ULTIMATE after-school special. everyone should see a movie like this, especially at younger ages. i didn't know what to expect but was floored. ben foster's best role IMO

take that, degrassi!

Yeah, it was made for tv. It's obvious because nobody got shot or hurt. The gunmen were stopped at the last second by the hero. Cue the melodramatic music and the unrealistic dialogue and....you got a cheesy tv movie.

I agree this started good but was very cheesy, and unrealistic, it turned into a drama class movie

It was originally shown on the pay channel - SHOWTIME.
