William Friedkin and John Carpenter commented on Night of the Hunter.

William Friedkin: "Night of the Hunter scared me as a child. I think it is one of the scariest movies ever made. It has a character played by Mitchum who is a preacher! Supposedly a man of God..."

"He's pursuing these young children through the forest because he thinks they know where their daddy's fortune is buried."

John Carpenter: "Mitchum was fabulous in that movie. Of course, he's fabulous in any movie."

Anything else?

Why is Van Damme listed as being himself on here??? Did any of his movies make it on the list??? And what did he say about any other films???

Thanx!

None of Van Damme's movies made the list. The movies that he made comments about were Die Hard, The Great Escape, and Goldfinger.

He said that he thought The Great Escape was a "great film." He described the scene where all of the different guys were confusing that guard by appearing all around him and yelling "Don't shoot!"

For Die Hard, he said that he remembered the scene where Willis pushed that chair down the building and everything exploded.

For Goldfinger, he said that he always thought it was "cool to see a guy in a tuxedo kick butt."
