Scary

This is intended as a family movie and has a happy ending, but it does not feel good the whole way through.
While I agree with the comments about the beautiful scenery and the excellent acting all round, there is a lot of kidnapping, drugging and striking children in a seedy atmosphere.
Those images stay in your head well after you've watched the film, so my suggestion is, see something else instead!

I didn't try, I succeeded.

It's a great family film that will appeal to all members of the family but very young or sensitive children (hence the PG certificate rather than a U certificate). It doesn't patronise the audience or feel the need to be sugary sweet and nauseating. I wish Hollywood could take a learn a lesson or two from it.
