April fools day? the 80s original not the remake. The way they all turned out to be alive at the end reminded me of that.
I know everyone hated this movie I didn't think it was that bad. Mainly because I like Nick Stahl. I have to say January Jones was as wooden as a fence but the story was ok and it was watchable for what it was.

I suspected this would be the surprise ending, but the surprise is that they pulled the April Fool's trick about 3/4 into the movie and then went another direction. As for comparison, I also found it bore a striking (and perhaps plagaristic) resemblance to "The Last of Sheila" from the 70s. I enjoyed this movie well enough, but alot of the twists were dirivative and predictable.
