Amber says..........

I just came back from a Buffy Convention that Amber attended. She herself commented how much she hated the movie and was so sad that it sucked. She kept telling us she was sorry and please don't go see it. She was too cute about it.

I'm glad to hear that. She's such a good actress, and that movie was awful. I wonder if the other actors feel the same way.

I'm about to watch it tonight, but only because Amber's in it. Now I'm iffy about it. Lol.

It's no Scream or Urban Legends, but I've seen worse. Anyway, Amber's funny in it. Did you see it? I think it was a waste of a lot of talent.

What is with this Amber? This is the first movie I see where she is playing and as a first view she was the most irritiating and boring acting I saw in the movie (not that the other were somewhere better).
But at least it's a good thing if she addmits herself

In terms of the horror genre, I can't say I've seen a whole lot that's worse. In the 2000's alone, the only horror films I liked about the same or less than Taboo (which I would give a 1 out of 10) were Teenage Caveman, Junior, American Psycho 2, Pinata: Survival Island, Slash, Bones, and Legion of the Dead. Also on the worst of the decade so far list would be Junk, Thir13een Ghosts, Halloween: Resurrection, Feardotcom, Dracula 2000, Decoys, Darkwolf, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Darkness Falls, Dreamcatcher, House of the Dead, Darkness, and The Bunker.

On the polar end, my favorite horror films of the 2000's were Dawn of the Dead, Pitch Black, Dead End, The Ring, Identity, Monster Man, 28 Days Later, They (yeah, I know most people hate this movie), The Grudge, Detour, Joy Ride, Below, and the two Jeepers Creepers movies.

Taboo was just awful, absolutely no likeable characters, no solid build-up, no suspense, no scares, and not even a proper establishment of how secluded the setting is. That's really too bad because the premise does sound entertaining and the mansion itself is a great location for these kinds of movies. If you are, in fact, a fan of anyone in this young cast, it's to you I'd suggest most to stay away from this movie because you might actually just a little respect for him or her (all the performances are really bad, most especially January Jones and Amber Beson).

If you want to see a truly fun, funny, and scary mystery/slasher with the same basic premise (i.e. friends being invited to a secluded mansion where secrets of their past are revealed and they're knocked off one-by-one), watch April Fool's Day instead.

Hate to nitpick but Identity is a thriller not a horror...

I dont know what it is, but I thought this was a really solid movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend it to people.

Heh.

Amber, well, I somehow thank God (a part of me is) that I saw this movie. I now know that Amber can act! Hehehe, I've seen her in Buffy a lot of times, and didn't really think the whole.... Tara really gentle woman really convinces me.

But when I saw her in this movie, all I could say was "WOW! Amber has great acting skills!"

I think I can honestly say that Intermedio was worse.

at the begining of the movie, she reads the deffinition of taboo, that was cute the way she says --i don't really get it...from then on....not such a good movie, all though i think Amber Benson and Nick Stahl were the ONLY good actors in it...i mean the rest of them might be good in other things (like Mullholand dr.) but they were the only 2 that were anyweher near good in this.

Wake up, time to die.
i cannot abide useless people

I like it!
