Sequel?

Does anyone know if there will be a sequel to this movie? Or are we suppose to decide how the movie ends?

reply

I've never heard for a sequal, but thwe ending song said "I was naive"

From that I always thought Michele was going to walk away from Francois.

I hope she left him, because he was a true *beep* to me. :\

reply

I haven't heard of any plans for a sequal, however it did say 'to be continued' at the end.

Hmmm...

reply

i think that means that its leaving the rest of it to the imagination of the audience

OOOOH MATRON!

Well, at the end, it does say "to be continued..."

but the question is...will they ever make a sequel?

Weighing the cost and earnings of the movie, I can't imagine there being a sequel.

...to be continued.

Most of the times, you understand that the story goes on, but honestly this film really needs a sequel. The ending leaves us with nothing and doesn't wrap us up with a thing.

There was an American film, 'Before Sunrise', which came out in 1995 then a sequel came out almost 10 years later "before Sunset' which picked up with the same characters 10 years later. Obiviously there has to be some call for that, and it would have to be French. I personally would like to see a sequel.

The movie was good enough to deserve one.

I would watch a sequel if they made one. The "to be continued" at the end confused me even more than I already was. Hopefully a sequel would clear things up.

Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!

Right! In their dreams maybe. I think this is the sort of thing film makers often try on. Maybe they'd like to make a sequel - but I actaully do have a life and I found episode one was one I could happily fast fwd without missing anything. Something perhaps the central charater was trying to do when she attempts suicide. Pity she failed - I used up another half an hour watching the rest of her pointless life on film. I need to get a grip and stop watching DVDs!

To the above: If all you care to do is insult the movie rather than participate in the discussion already begun, please start another thread or join one that's already for people who didn't like the movie.

For the rest, I am also of the opinion that the TBC was to tell the audience the story was not over, regardless of whether or not we get told the rest of it. I don't think there will be a sequel, however. It's not so common in movies, but it's a little artistic touch I've seen in some books: Life goes on, and there is no ending. This movie is supposed to be about life, and it can be boring sometimes (I guess that's what the post above refers to), and it can be crazy, and it can be upsetting... but it doesn't end. Even the death of a main character isn't an ending because their friends and family continue on, and then their friends and family do, etc.

I must say, though, that the abrupt ending was enough to get that point across without saying "To be continued..."
