The Best Part of this Film
The best part of this movie was the different looks of Audrey Tatou. As she plays a model, she has to incorporate a bunch of different styles in her photo shoots, and her daily style changes as well. Other than that the movie was a huge disappointment. Neither her character nor her love interest are all that likeable. The movie parodies the modeling industry, religion, relationships, but fails to do it poignantly, and fails to be the slightest bit thought provoking. The movie ends with a little bit of cliff hanger, but when it comes down to it, who cares. Tatou is a great actress, but she fails to deliver in this performance. And no, I am not hung up on her Amelie character, I have seen her in other films and she has typically delivered the goods. When it comes down to it, I think this is the movie that makes the average film goer dislike foreign movies.
