why did ZZ even make it as far as he did

Okay to be honest, the last episode was the only episode I actually watched completely and I'm just amazed ZZ was in the finale two. Why was he even there? To me, he is physically not wrestling material. Did the people voting just like his personality or something?

or the competition was rigged for the drama.
