Forever Red (Best Team-Up Ever)

This is the best team-up ever! If you havn't seen it, find it. It's the best Power Ranger for both old, long time and new fans. It brings all 10 Red Rangers together for one awsome episode to battle the evil Machine Empire (from Power Rangers Zeo (1996)) and Serpentara (Lord Zedd's old zord).

The Rangers that are in this episode

Jason/Red Ranger
Aurico/Red Alien Ranger
Tommy/Red Zeo Ranger
TJ/Red Turbo Ranger
Andros/Red Space Ranger
Leo/Red Galaxy Ranger
Carter/Red Lightspeed Ranger
Wes/Red Time Force Ranger
Eric/Quantum Time Force Ranger
Cole/Red Wild Force Ranger

The episode will be on DVD April 1, 2003 will other cool episodes.

rocky's version fo the red coin was lost when he became the blue zeo ranger.

reply

they could have had rocky as the red ninja ranger

reply

Why wasn't Rocky there? He was the one that took over for Jason

reply

They couldn't find Steve Cardenas to play Rocky. Same with Aurico's original actor. Danny Slavin (Leo) shot all of his scenes long AFTER the rest of the episode was made, because at the time of production, he had retired from acting to be a lawyer.

Does anyone know where I can d/l this ep because I grew up watching the first six power rangers series and I would love to see how much they had changed from the beginning up to the series made in the recent, like less than three years that have passed.

reply

Jason got fat.

reply

yeah, first thing i thought to myself was "ok, that is NOT Austin St. John in that suit!" Then again, he never really was anyway. All (or most, like 95%) of MMPR footage of them in suits are stock footage.

reply

I'm an old fan of Power Rangers and saw the Ultimate Power Rangers DVD at blockbuster so I rented it to watch the Forever Red episode. I was so excited when I saw Austin St John get off the motorcycle I started cheering! I loved it when he said "You didn't think I was gonna let you do this without the original Red Ranger, did you?" That was awesome. Who cares of he gained some weight he still kicks butt!! It would be so cool if he joined Dino Thunder. Jason could open up a dojo or something in Reefside. Tommy and Jason have that "so close we're like brothers" thing going that was great to see on tv. Just a thought.

I never saw an episode of Wild Force (except for this one) but although the guy that plays Cole is h-o-t-t HOTT and he can definately fight but he can't act at all!! Every time he said anything I started laughing.

Just my opinion.

Btw does anyone know if MMPR, Zeo and Turbo are on DVD?

"Right... Where are we going?"

reply

ROTFLMAO
He sure is more meaty! ...but he can still kick butt!

A series set after mystic force would be the 15th anniversary series of Power Rangers. Wonder if they'd do a 15th anniversary episode team-up of former Power Rangers once again.

Would certainly be murder for the producers to organise but it would be great if they based a another team up around the older villains from the series that haven't clearly been established to have been destroyed onscreen at all thus far.

Wikipedia states that several villains haven't been clearly known to have been killed off and wiped out yet.

Rito Revolto
Prince Gasket
Archerina
General Havoc
Master Vile

Add to the fact other characters still exist or are dormant or wandering around in the Power Rangers universe like; Queen Bansheera, Diabolico, Ninjor, The Phantom Ranger, Merrick Batalion: The Lunar Wolf Ranger, Toxica and Jindrax, Lothor (trapped in a bottle), The Evil A-Squad SPD Rangers etc? All these characters could be seen again in a huge 15th anniversary teamup if Disney wanted to go all out and solve all unsolved issues regarding Power Rangers and have a final all out special next year.

"He is one, we are three, it is the strength of three that will defeat him...together. General Zod"

reply

Also did anyone else love the scene with Bulk and Skull as much as I did? Those two are great. Ah MMPR memories! Ok enough of that.

"Right... Where are we going?"

reply

Anybody besides be notice that old recycled Beetleborg suit?

reply

Once I heard about this I downloaded it of Kazza

it was great to see all the red rangers again,

Beetleborg suits just made me laugh and think they were trying to save money.

As for Rocky one problem is the American version of Ninja Power Rangers, they didnt change the suits. In Japan the suits get changed, so Jason and Rocky would have the same suit which wouldn't be good. I would have rather seen Rocky than the Alien Ranger, oh well.

The fact that they have the guys fighting while they havent morphed is pretty cool though. It shows they can still Kick A$$!

Tommy's Hair cut and the Bulk and Skull apperance made me laugh.

I think I'm gonna watch this episode again just for the hell of it.

It's Morphin Time!

reply

To everyone asking about rocky rember Rocky was injured and could no longer be a ranger how can you all forget that he was replaced by the worst ranger ever Justin

as for this episode i loved it but sooooo many goofs e.g most rangers lost their powers for good , tommys hair been long on the morphing secence ect.... its good for seeing all in one i bought it on dvd but not the best team up best team up = Ninja storm and Dino thunder.

reply

jason wasn't fat he got exstremly muscular,he has been hitting the iron hard

reply

Yep! But I think he's losin hair. Sides this episode awoke the Power Ranger fan inside of me when I saw it. After Power Rangers in Space, I only got to watch Power Rangers when I had the time, I had the time to watch a few episodes of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.

Except that I watched Power Rangers Time Force in the mornings before school. I am 18 now and I remember being addicted to that show when I was a kid.

reply

hah. *nostalgia*
I agree with you completely. I was a HUGE fan of the original from the very first episode and I had all but forgotten about MMPR until I was flipping through channels one day and "Forever Red" was on. So I found myself laughing so hard and not being able to change the channel. *dies laughing*
The last time I'd seen the show was when I got addicted to The X-Files in elementary school. haha. I think around the Zeo series... Shortly after the first movie. (Which I still have a copy of somewhere.)
I'm now 17 and a high school graduate getting ready for music school... Crazy how fast time flies...
I still have my Pink Ninja Ranger halloween costume from when I was like six. And I played the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo games earlier for the first time in years.... (I was looking for my copy of Ristar the Shooting Star and Sonic 3D Blast and found my 'guilty pleasure' Power Rangers games... haha.)
I'm just sooo completely amused right now... This show has been around forever, seemingly.
I feel quite old....

reply

Pity Prince Gasket and Archerina weren't in it. As they escaped Zordon's energy shockwave in Power Rangers In Space season final.

Maybe they'll be used before the series end. which as you say been on for nearly forever. But i'm glad, cos at least after such a long time an anniversary type episode like this came along. It wasn't bad at all, but deserved to be a two parter.

The Machine Empire General's. Seem too good to be beaten that easily by the 10 Red Rangers. They should have let it be two episodes instead. And it looks af it Serpentera was on a diet? The Lord Zedd's Zord was originally massive, bad CGI killed the look of the thing from the get go. And Cole's bike given to him the Wildforce's Zord 'God', no less. Really wasn't used after that episode other than to destroy Serpentera. I wish General Venjix had got to Earth to cause some chaos and damage with Serpentera then in the part 2 you could have had the Red Ranger's use their Zords together to beat Serpentera. General Venjix was also too good a villain to kill off, ah well.

Wasn't Power Rangers about team work after all? Why is Cole getting the credit.

Great episode that should have been even bigger!

Although i can't wait for the American adaptations to be like more of the Japanese sentai originals and have huge crossovers with 2 dozen or so Power Ranger teams taking on an uber hard villain that can' be beaten by any single Power Rangers team! Before the whole series ends for good.

When did Serpentara get put back on the moon? Zed and Rita left in it at the beginning of Zeo.

reply

continuity isnt a strong suit...also rito was destroyed in countdown to destruction (2) along with goldar

reply

Forget Forever Red. The episode was messed up and it made no sense cuz the early Power Rangers shows were connected. I know something better than Forever Red. And that.....is the original Sentai counterpart. Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai. A classic and the best Sentai movie EVER! You gotta see it. A huge team up of all Super Sentai characters. Well...not exactly all, but I'll be specific. Plus they also used their zords (mecha in Sentai), which is something Forever Red didn't have.

-since this is the main thing from the movie, everything from this is in it.

Besides most of the old villains from many of the previous Sentia shows, I think Gaoranger had more allies in this movie. I'm not sure. Another note, since Ryuuranger and noen of the other Dairanger costumes (except Kibaranger for White Ranger) weren't used in Power Rangers, Ryuuranger was replaced with the Quantum Ranger in Forver Red. ^_^ Even though Timefire is not in this, it's still great. They have been showing some of the older stuff on Power Ranger Generations on Toon Disney.
I think they are doing something with showing the different episodes of how certain rangers got their powers.
Ie they showed this week how Kat got her pink powers from Kim.

I was just curious when Forever Red might be shown again.(I haven't seen it yet)
If anybody could help me out I would be greatful.

Peter Pan flew with children Lois,... a Fairytail.

reply

My how time flies, now Toon Disney is showing Ninja Storm. (as of May 2006) As for the episode, both network hardly show the episode nor the Wild Force season lately. Last time that Forever Red was on is was for the Red Ranger marathon they had. Still, the episode on's DVD (just a reminder) so watch the episode on that in the meantime.

YES! The most awesome power rangers team-up ever! Jason kicked serious ass in this one! My favorite moment has got to be when stupid wimpy Cole gets his the stupid beaten out of him, and then Jason jumps in and says"let me show ytou how it's done, rookie!". And what about Jason's spin-kick? Awesome! But I do have to agree about Cole's acting("I will do....whatever I must.....to save the Earth!") and Serpentera's sad CGI. The whole battle on the moon looked great though. And can someone explain to me how they couldn't "find" Steve Cardenas? He would've been awesome as the red ninja ranger!

reply

I liked the concept of the episode. Everything was going great until they destroyed it at the end...Serpentora's CGI looked terrible, I think some of my PS2 games had better CGI than that...And they made Serpentora look like crap...Getting beat by a ranger on a motorcycle?

reply

this is probably my favorite episode ever... and the crappy serpentora is all part of what makes the power rangers great

reply

[deleted]

i really want to see this episode and i was wondering if anybody could link it to me

reply

They made Serpentora look like crap. Serpentora was HUGE! Serpentora made the power ranger's mega zords look like small toys, therefore Serpentora would make the power rangers look like ants! But yet, they made it Serpentora look weak as hell and made the MMPRs look bad that they could even dent it, back then and this new ranger just rode his little motor cycle through it's mouth and destroyed it with ease...

reply

yea i agree while it waz a nice team up the episode n a whole sucked ass 4 real! jason gained a million pounds trying not to run out of breath in the fighting sequences and serpentora looked so digital and all that time serpentora has been around all it took was the wildforce red ranger's lil motorcycle to defeat it come on now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

reply

This is my favorite episode, and my favorite part was when all the Red Rangers were bragging about thier accomplishments,it was so funny.

I was reading the posts, and about Austin St. John. Well, I don't know how to put this delicately but he does gay porn. I know you guys think I'm full of it, but a few months back on a website known as entensity.net the webmaster looked into what happened to the six (including Tommy) original power rangers. He explained how Thuy Thrang had died in a car accident, and that Tommy did dino thunder and ran his own dojo (the guy even had a link to a commercial for it). He stated that he couldn't find out what happend to Austin St. John but that he had heard rumors that St. John did gay porn. Sure enough a week later he had found a picture from a movie of Austin St. John getting it on with another guy. I was devestated finding out my childhood hero could only get a job getting gay porn. Everytime I see an episode with Jason I scream at the tv that he goes on to do gay porn. Entensity.net has archives where you can look it up. What I'm saying is true, unfortunately I thought I would let you all know.
