anyone else totally love this film?

I can't gush enough about this film.

the acting
the story
the delivery.

It's really hard to find a fault with it.

for me it's up there with FARGO as one of the celluloid missives of all time.

This is on TV tonight so I am thinking about watching it. Everyone on this board seems to love the movie so much so why is the rating so low?

reply

I have just watched it. It was great. The drama is so intense and the acting so compelling. The Kullman character really made me hate him, he was so sick - which means he is a good actor. As for why the rating is so low, it's not a mainstream movie, so naturally many people couldn't stand abstractness, that's my guess. By the way, the music is totally cool too.

It was flawless.

I also agree.
Beautiful cinematography, complex performances and a constant sense of unease once kullma had arrived...
genius.

Also; Kim Bodnia - wow talk about method acting! The guy looks like hes been living on a farm all his life! A real transformation from Frank in Pusher..

I think it had a great first hour and then pummelled. Bodnia's character gets all too trigger happy all of a sudden the line he does is no excuse), goin too wild on the woman and the guy she was gonna sleep with, not to mention the kids. Then siddenly he goes al mushy with the baby, that whole scene seemed out of character or badly performed. I understand there's a grayness of morality but it ap[pears all too sudden, and perhaps not even the director's intention. I also find Kullman's departure far too contrived, he went from blackmailing to just letting go just coz his target was in hospital? Are we suppose to believe the same guy who was teaching a kid how to stab changes completely after traumatazing the lady and her children?
