Best 'Private Screenings' yet!

Tonight's, with and all about Robert Osborne! He was interviewed with uncharacteristic restraint (but still not enough of it) by Alec Baldwin. I feel like we all knew this already - Robert's a lovely guy. But I didn't know he spent his whole life prepping for the job he got in his '60s as TCM's host alter ego guardian angel what have you. His Saturday nights in the college library, making exhaustive movie notes and his cigarette(!) and beer(!!) commercials in the 1950s were the big reveals. His kindness and evenness and gentle star-struck-ness, no surprise at all. If you love TCM see this one as often as you can.

I really enjoyed this interview with Robert Osborne -- I'm one of his biggest fans! Though, I have to say that my favorite one is probably the one of June Allyson (despite the fact that he had a few weird reactions to her interview responses). June Allyson is just so sweet, and when you watch her interview, you feel she's probably holding in a lot, she probably has a sassy streak, but she'll do anything to make a friend and be friendly. Who can fault that? I really like her -- and there's no denying she was cute! Another one I'm pretty sure I would've loved, if I could've seen it, is Debbie Reynolds' interview, because she's hilarious, naturally!

But, have you seen one with June Allyson? If so, do you know that part where she answered his question about whether or not singing and dancing came easy to her, and she said yes, and he kept nodding his head no? If anyone's seen that, please reply and tell me what you think -- because I just can't figure it out!

Anyway these private screenings are great!

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
