Axe it. Please, axe it now.

It's the first time I've ever agreed with John Howard. This show is crap. This show should be axed immediately.

The incident with John and Ashley was the last straw for me - this show is not reality. These people are not real, they're trashy, and stupid, and completely vacuous. To have their 15 minutes of fame and to boost ratings, they resort to the lowest, most depraved, disgusting behaviour imaginable.

People say the incident with John and Ashley is being taken too seriously - please, let's consider if this happened in real life to a girl. Maybe it was all for fun, like Camilla says - this is never fun. This encourages men to act foolishly and piggishly - they can be swayed to think it's no big deal, and that girls like getting "turkey slapped" or whatever the hell those boys called it.

I thought this even before John and Ashley came along - this show marks the degredation of television, almost to a point of no return. This fixation with reality TV is unhealthy and shocking - what is so fascinating about these people?

Channel 10, save your credibility. Stick to great shows like House, The Simpsons, Veronica Mars, and whatever Law & Order shows you have that have good, respectable audiences, and adopt some new shows - maybe some Australian or internationa goodies. Step outside your inane little box. Dump Big Brother. Now.

And yes, I am begging.

reply

Good on you - change the channel.
No one is forcing you to watch it and theres 4 other channels you can choose to watch.

[deleted]

Wow, good on you! What did the letter say? I could think of about a trillion things to say about Mutton... I mean, Gretel.

reply

[deleted]

I'm very impressed :) Tonight I've decided I've had enough as well, seeing as FNL ran 45 minutes over time. Yes, that's right, they reached a new record. This is ridiculous! Leaving aside the issue that Big Brother is just trash and shouldn't have nearly as much airtime as it should (if any at all), it was taking over time that was meant to be occupied by a far better show, Veronica Mars. I'm writing a letter to Channel 10 now to let them know what I feel about this issue. Hey, maybe if enough people get it across that they hate Big Brother, we won't see a BB7! Fingers crossed.

reply

Actually, I beg to differ. For any person who watches Channel 10's other shows that are incredibly popular, like House, Veronica Mars, Law and Order, The Simpsons, etc, is forced to put up with Big Brother. We put up with the constant advertising, we have to wait an extra twenty minutes sometimes for the show to end because there was some FNL/eviction/housemate/WHATEVER drama. Did I say drama? I'm sick of the ads that go like this, "Which housemate upset Camilla?" "What scandal plagues the family dinner?" "What's the big secret?" I DON'T CARE. Give me proper entertainment, please! This is so tedious and silly and irrelevant. Here's an idea - put Big Brother on Foxtel! People already pay through the nose for this show, so they must be able to afford the subscription. I'm sure Channel 10 can find something else to put on air that is ten times better than Big Brother. But back to my original point, yes, I am being forced to watch Big Brother, because there's barely ever anything else on. It's eating away at the other shows and at the ad breaks that are already annoying enough because it seems advertising companies can't come up with anything original or intelligent.

Sorry to rant, but this really gets to me. I like Channel 10, it has some really good shows. But I can't stand any of the people partaking in Big Brother, most of all Gretel Killeen and the blonde guy from FNL, who seem to haunt my TV, forcing me to listen to their crap about evictions and housemate tantrums.

reply

For a person that says they hate Big Brother so much you know an awful much about it. If you hate it so much DON'T watch it.

reply

Oh my god! I don't watch it. I never have and NEVER will, at least not intentionally. Did you not read my last post? The only reason I know so much about the show is because anybody who watches Channel 10 knows about the show due to the relentless advertising and promotion of the show.

And I brought this up in another board altogether, but what happens when I'm waiting to watch a decent show and Friday Night Live runs almost an hour overtime. I don't, and never will, watch the actual show, but it's impossible to absolutely avoid the ads and the extra bits of the show that run into the decent shows on Channel 10. ESPECIALLY when it's 45 minutes! I don't want to watch the show, I definitely hate it, but really - how the hell can I possibly avoid it?

The show's almost over for 06 anyway, which is a massive relief to me and a tonne of other people who recognize it for it's stupidity, but it will probably be back for 07... *shudder*

reply

[deleted]

Do you mean me? Because, yes, I do bother to read the posts.

reply

[deleted]

Oh, okay :) That makes more sense... I just got the message and thought you meant me! And the suggestion made was definitely a silly one and totally infuriating considering that the issue has been discussed and explained several times on this board and on others.

reply

[deleted]

*beep* OFF you stupid cows. Instead of watching Big Brother why dont you go and watch another episode of Home and Away. Instead of watching nominations go watch the great outdoors. In stead of watching the evictions go watch a movie on channel 7 thats been on tv hundreds of times. There i have helped you avoid Big Brother all the time. Tonight is the finale of Big Brother, and nobody is going to ruin my night for me. My cousin is Jamie, im leaving for the ampitheatre in an hour so hopefully by then you have another crappy comeback for me. And to that other tart No i didn't read all the posts because there was like 80 and i have a life.

reply

Oh, how mature. Here's my response - I also hate Home and Away. It's soapie drivel. And you still aren't listening - I don't watch the nominations, I don't watch the evictions, I DON'T WATCH ANY OF THAT MINDLESS TRASHY CRAP. I only watch it when it interrupts my other shows, like the other night, when FNL was 45 minutes late on ending!

I don't want to make harsh generalizations, but most of the people who watch Big Brother normally don't have a life. Why would you watch other people's lives if you had one of your own? Especially when most of the people on Big Brother are idiots and bogans that just waste space on television.

And thanks, for calling me a tart and a stupid cow. Really lovely, and again, SO mature. I feel like I've been a bit of a cow in this latest post, but hey, you started it. Get over yourself, and get over your stupid show, because hopefully, if the networks and the viewing public start being more intelligent, it's going to be gone within a year or so.

Also, enjoy your night, because I'll sure enjoy mine, considering Big Brother will be gone for the rest of the year as of tonight.

reply

[deleted]

I didn't notice because I didn't watch, but thanks, planetmutty :) I'm glad someone on this board is intelligent an on my side!

And yay for BB being over for 06! *cheers*

reply

[deleted]

I really hope they will. I dont understand how this can be entertaining. Its the same with those shows like jackass, theyre so stupid and pointless. I also am in the target audience and cannot for my life understand why people watch this show. I will admit i was mildly interested in the first one, but very soon stopped watching it. I mean whats the point? your lives arent interesting enough? perhaps you should get out more then, go find something interesting. unless you dont have friends then fair enough i guess. At least Rove bags them out on his show.

One thing i found hillarious was something i read from http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=118663

"The money wasn't important," he told Gretel Killeen onstage in front of a live audience. - What a load of crap, you win over $400,000 and you say thats not important. Sure it wasnt.

and also
"(I was) walking around the house just lost, thinking where is everyone else, what am I doing here? This is crazy." - Youve been in the house for over 100 days and you dont know where you are? Umm, lets see theyve all been evicted.

I just thought what he said was stupid.

AXE IT NOW!!

reply

I totally agree with everything you've said :) And I'm not suprised that Jamie said something stupid, considering he's one of the biggest morons ever. I've only ever seen him on the ads and in the bits of the show that finished late, and he gives me a headache! Also, I think someone said on another thread that the girls voted for Jamie because he was hot. I'm not at all attracted to him, it's not that he's ugly, but he's common and he looks stupid.

I don't understand why these shows are on. Couldn't we take away the money spent on this crap and give it to a worthwhile show, or dare I say, a charity? We spend millions on shows like this, and what for? To please the idiot population? Can't they find entertainment elsewhere? I would love to see the industries be a little more restrictive with the television shows and films they produce, and at the end of the year say, "Hey, we didn't produce this mind-numbing crap for once, and we saved this much money. Let's give it to a country in need!"

It would probably never, ever happen, I know. I'd just rather that hungry children or homeless people be fed, or that people suffering somewhere are helped, instead of bogans hopping inside some silly house to be mundane and idiotic for their fifteen minutes of "fame".

reply

Well,Well,Well. The crap thats takes over the television box these days are mostly American, so whats so bad about an Aussie tv show here and there and there very rare. ASnd whats so bad about Jamie, he's my cousin. If you hate Big Brother so much then why do u occupy so much space on these threads? And yes Big Brother is over. Maybe for another year or maybe forever, but i hope your looking foward to 'Yasmin's getting married' Yay i know i am. Lol, actually it sounds like sh!t. Anywayz peace out starri and whats her face. Have fun.

reply

I'd love to have more Australian television shows, but the reality of the situation is that most Aussie TV is utter crap. I'm sorry, but I rarely see a really decent show that's Australian. I don't count reality TV that originated from America or England as Aussie, either. I really hope that with Australia's recent successes in the film industry can soon translate into television.

I occupy space on these threads because I came here to voice my opinions about the show. I stay here because I'm a frequenter of IMDb, and they send me notifications when people reply to me, so I return. Mostly, to find stupid, abusive replies, but hey - it's the internet, I can't expect miracles.

Congrats to your cousin for winning... I have to say, I'm really hoping he's the last BB winner we see in Australia for a long, long time.

reply

Thank you. This moght sound weird but i do agree with you there, i hope this is the last season of Big Brother. This years housemates were a bit boring except Jamie cause he's my cousin and im biased. Anywayz bye.

reply

I wish they axed it. Finally the government is doing some good - complaining about this crap!

I HATE It!

reply

Yay! Very much agreed, derek :) It's probably the most truthful, factual thing John Howard's said in years. I just wish Channel 10 would take their heads out of the sand and do something!

reply

Hehehe, well good luck with your campaign starri_girl.

reply

I agree with starri_girl...thank god there's still some people with minds in Australia which aren't contaminated. Thank god BB is over now. If they sandwich next season Supernatural (providing channel 10 cares about its viewers) between BB again I'm going to scream...

[deleted]

Axe the whole thing. I am 15, live in NSW and am suppose to be a member of the target audience. Most people at my school find this show boring and repetitive. The only people who like it are the "teeny boppers", which there is to much crap suited to them now.

Ten needs to stop this reality t.v fad and get some more good shows on, more shows like House, Law and Order, NCIS etc.

reply

[deleted]

I would never agree with Howard over anything else but this. Normally, I wouldn't give him the time of day, but what he said about Big Brother and Channel 10 is absolutely true.

I mean... doesn't it seem that Big Brother must have really hit a low point for the PM to want to step in?

reply

[deleted]

Let me explain this to you simply, since you seem to be a total idiot. I already established that my agreement with John Howard over the Big Brother issue was the only time I have ever, or will ever, agree with him.

I think Howard is a lying, manipulative bastard who will run Australia into the ground - morally, politically, and possibly economically.

I don't agree with his workplace agreements. I think they're absurd and they're wrong. In fact, I just paid $20 towards an operation that's trying to buy billboard space to reject the worklplace agreements.

I'm undecided on the water recycling issue - it is environmentally beneficial, but it's also a little nauseating. I'm not sure.

If you try and tell me once more that I'm someone who supports Howard or the Liberals, then I'll lose it. I've established that I don't agree with them over anything but his comments regarding Big Brother and Channel 10. So screw you, you mindless twit. You're just like Howard - you don't listen to what people say, you just attack them and defend yourself and your own stupid agenda. So back off.

reply

[deleted]

And we wouldn't be 'drinking our own poo', as you so charmingly put it. It's purified very carefully to ensure it meets health standards, and could be a ood solution to our water crisis. We're the ones that have depleted water supplies, so we should be the ones to sacrifice a little something to save our suffering environment.

reply

[deleted]

What are you, twelve? How can you be so immature?

reply

[deleted]

[deleted]

Yet somehow, you seem so immature!

And I doubt you're as smart as you claim to be. You have no sensitivity towards others or their opinions, and you seem to be completely selfish and uncaring when it comes to environmental issues.

I only said you were twelve because you continually told me to enjoy drinking my own 'poo', which is something I've only ever heard kids say. In fact, it might have been generous to label you as a 12 year old. And your signituare is something I'm used to seeing girls of around that age saying.

So forgive me for my lack of originality - but then again, it was SO original and mature of you to keep telling me that saving the environment entailed drinking my own poo.

Oh, and YAY you for your success - hold on, the last time I heard about a guy as lucky as you (big house, two cars, nice job) was when Howard was preaching about family values and good interest and all the other s**t he spouts. You might hate him, but you're the perfect replica of the Australian he uses in his campaigns and in parliament when he's trying to pass his cr*p laws.

reply

[deleted]

Was that post meant to make any sense? Perhaps I should have read your post more carefully, but you could write more carefully. Again, your grammar makes you look about 12.

I'm reluctant to even dignify your comment about Rove with a response. Rove is one of the most vacous, low-brow, idiot television personalities around. But I guess his success redeems his immaturity from your perspective, doesn't it?

I'm not jealous of you at all. Why would I be jealous? I have just as much as you, if not more. I'm not going to boast, there's no point. I'm not going to tell you where I live, either - but I will tell you it's one of the nicest areas in my state, very comfortable, and very lovely. And I never said wealth or success was a sin - why don't you learn how to read? I was simply stating that people like us are successful at a price, because Howard will use us as examples of how great he's made our country.

I can't really understand anything else you've written, since it's barely coherent. E.G. "Rove McManus saids it all the time", "I'm proud of what i've complished and i pretty everyone who works as hard as me and earns a good living in a mining town, doesn't regret it", "because if i'm uncessful than were has my maturity gotten me, no where".

Perhaps immaturity is forgiveable occasionally, but ignorance and stupidity isn't.

Okay, that is completely unfair. I'm not a racist, and I had no idea you were Asian. If I said something derogatory towards you concerning your race, then that would be racist. Just because you're Asian and I insulted you doesn't make me a racist. I'm sorry if you feel that way - but really, that's the most ludicrous accusation I've heard in a long time.

And gee, I've never heard anything more mature than a man dismissing a woman's opinions on the basis she's hormonal </sarcasm> How dare you? How dare you label me a racist? If anything, you're sexist.

Oh, and the attitude that ignorance is bliss is what causes half the problems in our society.

I've never been so mad at anyone in my life. If anyone said something like that to me in real life, they'd really be in for it.

reply

[deleted]

I never implied violence was a resolution. I detest violence in any form - what I meant when I said that was anyone who dared call me a racist would be in trouble. I don't mean physical trouble - I'd never dare pose a threat to any other human being on this earth - but I'd be angry, and I'd let them know that in a way that was constructive rather than destructive. You're psychotic, you know that? I'm not a racist, nor am I violent. Shame on YOU for being so ignorant and judgemental without a scrap of proof. I will never be a fan of Howard or Hanson. You continue to call me a racist, but you're totally wrong - besides, I have several Asian friends. I have nothing against Asians, nor anyone else who's not of my race. If there's one of us who's a racist, it's YOU.

reply

how can i be racist if my mother is japanese chinesese filipino and my father is Irish scottish Australian. I'm a product of an interacial couple. So no i'm not racist you are you're the one who has a problem with me just because i'm asian.

reply

And it's obvious you're a blonde and are just annoyed by my signiture.

"Blondes have more fun more Brunnettes are smarter"

reply

I'm brunette, you idiot. And you ARE a racist, because you're obviously discriminating against me, a caucasion person. Jesus, you're stupid. I didn't know you were Asian until you pointed it out, so that's not why I have a problem with you. Like I said, I have many Asian friends. I only have a problem with you because you're idiotic, arrogant, ignorant, and totally self-involved. You're actually giving me a headache!

reply

and you constantly insult even knowing what my race is and like said i'm half cacasian consider my father is irish scottish australia so no i'm not racist my girlfriend is filipino indian, not causians at all but i'm half caucasian if i were racist i would date someone who wasn't an pure asian, so how dare you insult my mother's culture. and Just because you have asian friends doesn't mean you're not racist, you are insult somone of a race and you make it seem like you are superior because you are causian and i'm only half causian. Idiotic, like i said i'm rather be a sucessful idoit than an uncessful brain, cause if i'm not sucessful were has my brains gotten me, nowhere. arrogant, i'm not arrogant, i'm confident, i know i have a good life and i know i've worked my ass off to deserved it, there's nothing wrong with me being content with my life. ignorant, i'd rather be ignorant that racist. Self-involved, hmm, i talk about my parents, the government, you being racist as well as talking about myself so that's highly self-involved, self involved would be me saying that you argue with me because you are infactuated with me, that is an example of being self involved but considering i talk about alot of things, beside my self, you've proven nothing. And if i give you a headache why are you constantly replying to me, a headache, maybe it's from your PMS.

"Blondes have more fun more Brunnettes are smarter"

reply

I AM NOT A RACIST. How dare you? I would speak to anyone in this way who treated me like you have, regardless of what race they are. And I never insulted your mother's culture, for christ's sakes, where are you getting this from? You're completely deluded! And fine, you're not a racist either, but you are a sexist, which is far worse.

reply

if i'm sexist then so are you and no racism is worser than sexism considering racism creates wars. You're the one who disrespects steve irwin and christopher reeves and hates rove, who are all men yet you idolise jamain greer, who's a woman, no u are the sexist one.

"Blondes have more fun more Brunnettes are smarter"

reply

I don't hate Christopher Reeves, I admire him. I hate Steve Irwin for a number of valid reasons, but I do sympathise with his family since he died so tragically. And I don't hate Rove, I don't like his form of comedy - but as a person, he's a good guy. It hurts me to see that he's lost his wonderful wife. I don't idolise GERMAINE Greer - I think she had a valid point about Steve Irwin.

I'm not sexist. How does having a stance against two men make me sexist? I don't hate them because of their gender, I dislike them because they do things that I disagree with.

Racism can create wars, yes. Racism is ugly and horrid and I can't wait to see the day it disappears somehow, though that seems like wishful thinking on my part. But sexism is awful to - sexism has contributed to the submission and suffering of women for millions of years. That's half of the population. Sexism is just as ugly and horrid, and though it seems as unlikely as racism dying out, it really should. And you dismissing my opinions as something hormonal is VERY sexist.

reply

"It hurts me to see that he's lost his wonderful wife." - yeah i know she's been battling for years.

"I think she had a valid point about Steve Irwin." - maybe but it was disrespectable of her to be that way, when the man died especially since it was so recent. I mean what if someone in you're family died and then someone said someone awful at a time when you're greaving, that's disgraceful.

"I dislike them because they do things that I disagree with." - how can you not like steve he's a legend, he's know and loved arounds the world and one of the best representatives for our Country with a daughter that shows how good of a father he was because she is so amazing. And the good that steve has done, people who hate steve are like people who hate oprah or Brangelina, how can you hate someone who's helping the world instead of creating war and choas like the terrorist do.

I hate racism too, i know sexism is bad, but it's exactly sexism it's double standards within cultures, that's what's bad, like i was watchign oprah and i saw how in africa or some place, if a man killed his wife he would be a hero but if a women did it she'd toast, i'm japanese i know all about double standards within cultures, in my culture, women are espected to be in the kitchen all day and serve their men, women also have to walk behind their men at all times, men are also allowed to have more than one wife or lover, but if a woman did this she could get dicapitated. So i know all about it, i know how bad it gets, my parents taught me well and i'm nothing like what my culture exspects me to be.

"That's half of the population." - actually that's more than half the population, there are more women than men in the world.

"Sexism is just as ugly and horrid" - you're the one who said sexism was worst. Racism is worst, considering a whole race was almost wiped out by it (ei the jews), the there was also the clo clocks clan. Sexism is not as worst for the fact that women's lib come into place.

"And you dismissing my opinions as something hormonal is" - if i dismiss everything you say i wouldn't continue reply to you, i would said "you're a women so you're wrong and so i'm not even gonna bother talking to you cause what you say means *beep*" but didn't, the fact is you seem angry you've said so you're self that you've never been so angry and when women have PMS they tent to take it out of the men just like when they are pregnant. I dismiss you're opinons not because you're a woman but because you constantly insulting ignorant and ect, if you never did i would take you seriously.

"Blondes have more fun more Brunnettes are smarter"

reply

'when women have PMS they tent to take it out of the men just like when they are pregnant' -- that is such an appaling generalisation. I've never been abusive towards a man because of my hormones, and I don't know many women who are.

'because you constantly insulting ignorant' -- What am I meant to do? Hand them a badge of pride on a silver platter? It's ignorance that creates most of the problems in society today.

'And the good that steve has done, people who hate steve are like people who hate oprah or Brangelina, how can you hate someone who's helping the world instead of creating war and choas like the terrorist do' -- I'll give you Oprah, she's a wonderful woman. But PLEASE, Brangelina? Jesus Christ. And I just can't stand Steve Irwin - I've hated him, rightly so, since he took his baby into the enclosure with that crocodile. I don't have any interest in his excuses about how safe the boy was - anything could have happened. I also have strong suspicions that the reactions animals had to him on his shows were provoked, and I know that he exploited animals to become famous. Maybe he made something of his fame, used it for good in the end - but the end doesn't always justify the means. And if there's anyone who's creating war and chaos, it's not the terrorists - it's the governments.

reply

The long and the short of it is this:

You don't like it? Don't watch it.

Nothing else to watch? Get pay TV.

I don't like to watch sport (along with a lot of other things) but I don't go looking for message boards for shows (or anything else for that matter) that I don't like just so I can have a rant about how much I don't like it.

Why not spend your time doing something positive or worthwhile?

Sheesh it's all critisism and negativity these days.

Life is what you make it, You can make it what you like

reply

I don't watch it, but I'm actually insulted they keep rubbish like this on television. It seriously offends me that such mindless, trashy crap is allowed to air. I have a right to criticise this show, and I have a right to have an opinion, even if you don't agree with it.

I would count having the confidence to voice my opinions a worthwhile activity.

reply

"I'm actually insulted they keep rubbish like this on television. It seriously offends me that such mindless, trashy crap is allowed to air."

Wow.

You know what? I don't think they air Big Brother just to insult or offend you. Maybe you should get out of the house for a bit and get offended about things that actually matter.

Big Brother isn't even on tv at the moment!! Why worry so much!?

"I would count having the confidence to voice my opinions a worthwhile activity."

It doesn't take much confidence to write a sentence on IMDB.

If you really want to voice your opinion to somewhere that counts and show how confident you are, go make some signs and stand out the front of Channel 10.

It'll give them a good chuckle for the day, anyway.

reply

"I don't think they air Big Brother just to insult or offend you."

Well, then why is it still here? It doesn't seem to be at all valuable in terms of entertainment, nor is it informative or intelligent. There is no valid purpose for this show to remain on the air.

"Maybe you should get out of the house for a bit and get offended about things that actually matter."

Wow, what a valid point, considering you know me so well </sarcasm> And I think that this does matter in a number of ways. The dumbing down of our country is important, as is the corruption of our children. And don't dare say I'm being dramatic until you've seen the negative ways in which shows like Big Brother affect them. I may not be a mother, but I know many mums who would love to take this show off the air immediately. It's on at an hour when children can access it, and the language and behaviour of these people is way inappropriate.

"It'll give them a good chuckle for the day, anyway."

Funny, because I know people who work at Channel Ten, who admittedly aren't the decision makers - but they hate Big Brother and think it's the worst show because it makes the network look bad, and apparently that opinion is shared amongst a lot of people staffing Channel 10. But there isn't really any use protesting Big Brother - Channel 10 aren't listening. They make big bucks off the show, so they don't care, even when the (idiotic) PM condemns them.

reply

"Well, then why is it still here? It doesn't seem to be at all valuable in terms of entertainment, nor is it informative or intelligent. There is no valid purpose for this show to remain on the air."

You said it yourself at the bottom of your post.

It makes big bucks for Channel 10.

End of story.

The more people talk about how "scandalous" the show is, the more people watch it. All publicity is good publicity.

Big Brother exists around the world. It's not just an Australian thing.

I can't be bothered replying to the rest of your post.

I'll leave you to complain about a show you hate. A tip though? Stop worrying and go watch some things you actually like, then talk about them. It'll make you much happier.

reply

I don't see financial benefit on behalf of Channel 10 as a valid purpose.

"Big Brother exists around the world. It's not just an Australian thing."

That is a sad, sad thing. I hate that people are actually stupid and vacuous enough to enjoy this utter crap.

Wrong again. Today is one of the happiest days of my life, and I have many to come. I have nothing to be bitter about, and I don't even know why you'd say that considering you don't know me. funny consider you said that last time in the christopher reeves board and yet you still replied, if you're gonna say that yu not going to talk to me at least stand by it, cause therefore you don't mean what you say so therefore why should i take you seriously.

Does Australia only have one TV channel? Why do so many people want a show axed just because THEY don't like it? I hate American Idol, so I don't watch that channel when it's on. But I'm not such a big baby selfish prick that I would want to take away the enjoyment of the many people who watch it.

If you give the government the power to ban television shows, next they will be deciding what newspapers/books you read and watch movies you watch.

'starri girl' was actually a man, Aaron Darc, a prominent big brother and reality television blogger. All of the opinions starri girl wrote about big brother and especially about John Howard and Steve Irwin were in blogs that Aaron wrote and he has also admitted to pretending to be teenaged girls for 'research purposes' whatever that means.
