SPOILER WARNING! What happened at the end?

Did the Father win over the girls or what? Did they leave him? It was unclear. The movie should have been an extra ten minutes longer so we could know. ?

Well in the movie yes they did become closer. But in real life (karen cook, the suthor, is my sister) Tilden and Elizabeth (Karen and my sister jen) came back to live with my dad in connecticut

would you really like proof then? such as a family photo? and honestly a typo doesn't mean i'm lying. i never write e-mails to her or send her letter, i never have to spell her name, i only see her about once a year, so i'm sorry i spelled her name wrong once.
