The Terrible Hours and Submerged

It's apparently Momsen's anniversary today, or something like that...for Momsen is in the news. Ah, the Navy destroyer USS Momsen has readied to go out to seek out global terrorism.

It has still prompted my husband to look Momsen up, so if anyone had any question as to whether "Submerged" was a good biopic - I can safely say that this was a tad sappy, but still an interesting and exciting work. Sam Neill never flinches from his duty as Momsen, portraying him accurately (he even looks a little like Momsen) in this historical docudrama.

If you have the chance to see it without commercials, snap it up and take a look. Well worth your time.

Do you know where I may buy this movie in DVD or VHS?

I'm reading The Terrible Hours right now and it's a great book.

I'm a big Sam Neill fan and would love to see the film, but neither Netflix or Amazon has the movie - was it ever even released on VHS?

This is all the information I can find about it:

I've not seen it yet, but I'm surprised the film has had such a rough ride. You would think it would pretty much write itself, given the source material - right down to the nail-biting 'hanging-by-a-thread' finale.

On your train of thought, I think I just caught the caboose.
