Ending? Why was the guy trying to promote everyone
Why was the guy at the end trying to promote everyone to manager, and why were they all quitting?

I was just suprised that Stu's friend there that had just been hired didn't get promoted to manager.
shareif he was being fired, why would he need to promote anyone? kind of a dumb ending

he needs some one to replace him u dumbasses... jesus. the boss probably told him make someone else manager before you leave.. and since the dude was a pussy, he was doing the last thing he could do as manager.
And then it was a slap in the face to him, when all the people he had power over didnt want his job, the job he thought was so great.
he didnt need anyone to replace him, his boss did. he shouldnt have to hire someone after he got fired..but whatever, its a movie, just your reasoning is dumb green.

I disagree, beaverman. I think of it as one of those wuss moves where instead of storming out angry, he does a little more brown-nosing before he leaves, maybe he can salvage a positive job reference by doing this.

He was trying to promote someone to his position so he could make them take the wrap, and he could weasel his way out of it.
shareI think Shmally should have been made manager, just for the absurdity of it.
Actually, what seemed odd to me was that she wasn't given a little coda at the end like everyone else. I certainly wouldn't expect it to be anything significant at all, but it seemed a bit odd to me that a character who opened the movie and is a fairly major character didn't get a mention at the end.
