Yo!

It saddened me to see this amazing documentary with such little fanfare. So, I decided to start up this little thread, in hopes that more fans will flock here. I don't really know what the topic should be (and a change can come about at anyone's whim), but I guess a good place to start is with a question.

1. Can anyone explain to me why Ed Wood wasn't mentioned in this? The closest they came to it was a clip of Vampira. I went into this movie thinking that he would be a major factor, but I guess I was wrong.

Lets wash it. With Rocks!

Hey I totally agree. I was also hoping they would've thought to interview some people from MST3K like Joel Hodgson and Mike Nelson, or atleast in the documentary's epilogue, talked about how many of the schlock films got introduced to a whole new generation of movie lovers, with much thanks to MST3K.

The documentary is about exploitation, not lame movies. His didn't play big part in this, nor started it. He is just a curious case.

What bothers me is that they don't acknowledge the European influence, apart from mentioning Bardot. They also suggest to the viewer that the story of exploitation movies as a distinct genre ends in the 60s, with the abolishment of Hays Code. The documentary ends with demolition of a drive-in theater, but they flourished well into the 70s and early 80s.
