The true average is 8.7 out of ten...

...just for anyone who cares to know. IMDb says that they do weighted averages to "be more honest about the film" and "curb ballot stuffing," but what they are doing can work just as easily to hurt a film. Think about it, I know many View Askew fans, and I can be fairly sure that the 8.7 average is legit for this movie. Now, lets say some innocent fledgleing View Askew fan drops by to look at this page before buying the DVD, and he sees the 3.2 rating, and decides not to buy it. In that case, IMDb and the damned "weighted average" just hurt the film and the filmmaker. The weighted average will pick Jeff Anderson's pocket, and that just kinda seems like *beep* to me, what can I say, it just does. Later.

Arithmetic mean = 8.6. Median = 10

IMDB must use some ass backwards formula for their weighted average. I think the the top 1000 users must count for 90% of the vote. If your in the top 1000, you spend too much time on this site to begin with, and you're probably too much of a nerd to be taken seriously. I was almost put off seeing the film when I saw the score for the movie. Now that I know it has a good average I will definetely check it out on dvd

Yeah, its listed 6.7 is one of the few scores I take issue with on the entire site.

I rate it a 9 not least for its casual approach, entertaining script, & redeeming qualities. It's a fun little movie done right.
