portrait of a selfish, talent-less broad

The magazine interviewer hit the nail on the head. Marilyn got high on champagne during one interview and she displayed her true emotion: anger. She single-handedly killed that production..........and she's angry at the studio, director, producer, etc. I truly believe that anger was probably her only true emotion. The innocence, the lost little girl routine were all performances.

There is no "off" position on the genius switch.

Well, it should be remembered that she was sinking deeper into depression and serious drug addiction at this point.

Not that that gives her a free pass on everything...but she really wasn't well enough to work.

The producer initially informed the studio she wasn't strong enough to handle the shoot...but they pushed the production through anyway.
