What was the bowl of water on the floor for?

During the first night they stayed together at the hotel and Fatso was watching the porno, Mini Mo got up and put on several layers of underwear and clothing. Then she filled a bowl with water and put it on the floor between her and Fatso's sleeping mats. Can anyone explain what that was for?

they mentioned it later on when they were sleeping together and ended up in each others arms. it's to separate the two of them so they dont end up rolling up next to each other
