Are we meant to assume that by the end of the movie that not only are daphne and ian hooked up and kelly preston and colin firth together that ther also might be a bit of romance brewing between the butler and jocelyn or could it be perhaps that my overactive brain is getting a bit too much exercise?

shareI don't know that it is so much of a romance brewing, but I always took it that Jocelyn never really enjoyed being waited on and was inviting him to join the family for breakfast since he had been with them so long that he was practically family.
There could be a romance beginning, but they really just seem like close friends thoroughout the entire film.
grandma did state earlier in the film how important social standing was & how it took a toll on the people she loved. imo, which is why she doesn't care anymore & now has no problem having breakfast with the butler, who is practically family. unfortunately glynnis, alistair & larissa only see him as one thing, a servant and "their kind" are not worthy enough sit at a table with them.
