what the hell happend in the end?

the end was wierd as hell. first off why are they running? from what are they running? why the streets are empty? why the plane crashed? why there are little horricans or whatever in the streets. it was when they drived in the city.

nothing of this was explaind in the movie. i just dident get it no matter how much times i watched it.

It was all explained. I fail to see how so many people missed the point of this moive. To answer your question directly the spirit world is filled with ghosts, and so they seep into our world. It is like pouring tea into a full cup. It spills out over the side, and the more you add the more goes onto the floor. So if there is one ghost who haunts a man and he kills himself then there are two ghosts haunting people. After a while you have millions. That is where everyone went.

reply

Except, that's the complete opposite of what actually happened. The whole point was that the ghosts didn't want to kill anyone, they wanted to trap everyone somehow, so that's where everyone went.

reply

Except this guy was wrong, the ghosts didn't want to trap people. I'm not sure where he got that from the movie. The other guy had it right.

No, the ghost that the male lead encountered while getting gas said as much. That death was "eternal loneliness." That's why the ghosts kept whispering "help me." They didn't want to be alone in death.

In the very last shot, the female lead said she was happy because she was alone with her only friend. I don't think she was talking about the guy on the ship. I think she was talking about the male lead's ghost, who was still haunting the room they shared together on the ship. The implication is that she would soon join him.

It's all in the last 20 minutes.

Wow. Ever hear of spell or grammar check? I hope English isn't your first language. No offense, but geez...

Is this a site for english majors?? Why are a holes like you so concerned
about the way people spell or their grammar? Can you not read it? To me it
says something about the person who complains. Either they are a controlling
sort who probably like to tell everyone around them how to do their jobs, or
they are too retarded to figure out a different type of sentence structure,
so they have trouble reading it.
Most of the time people are using their cell phones to post on sites like this,
and its much harder to type with the small keys or the touch screen. The only
reason I even try to make make sentences look pretty is because I simply got
tired of a holes giving me crap to where I would spend more time arguing
and less time getting responses that were on topic. Otherwise I would never
have capital letters or apostrophes.
