electrical nymphs? Spoiler included.

i watched this short movie about 3 times it was in the experimental cinema collection volume disc 7. it is a wonderful black and white animated short for being made back in 1934. i had a question about the ladies but i believe another person posted the answer already- i was wondering if they are suppose to be somekind of nymphs-maybe modern age nymphs because they are dancing joyfully around enjoying each others company in what appears to be a power station until the one girl loses a shoe and they are pursued by the young man until all of them end up in a train switching station. a very well made surrealistic short and i enjoyed it very much.
One more note: i just noticed after watching this short again,at the very end as the 3 of them are leaving together on the bicycle magically the blonde and brunette switch places on his bike, i wonder was this a editing mistake or done on purpose, obviously all 3 of them had somekind of magical powers so i guess could do alot of things if they wished. personally i wouldn't have been complaining about which girl was on front or back.
