What I Don't Get (Spoilers)

He supposedly buried the wife. So how come when the dumb-bunny blonde went into the basement, the wife was lying right there? Are we supposed to believe that he dug her up and dragged her down into the basement? Why?

And another thing I don't get is why I sat through the whole dad-blamed thing expecting a real ending.
