I've read the book and loved it; should I bother hunting down this movie?

What are the differences between the movie and the book?
Because I've only seen the movie

I totally agree with you! The movie wasn't bad, but the book gives you much more detail and background about the old folks and what they're doing.

I also found that the movie changed too many things that i loved about the original story. Read the book if you can find it!

I read the book, too, and was going to post my comment but I saw yours first. So now I'll just add that I never saw the movie, but the book was written sometime around 1980, or earlier. The book is pretty riveting, and keeps you going!
