Is this a remake?

I got about 7 minutes into this movie and started skimming the DVD to see if there is anything familiar because some stuff looks different and other stuff looks very familiar. I am not sure if I saw this movie before or this is a remake. Some of the scenes look like I have seen them before and other don't look familiar.
I just fast forwarded through most of it, I did see this movie before and it is not a remake.
