Did anyone think? (possible spolier)

Did anyone think that Michael was the downloaded soul of the architect but wasn't aware of it. The old lady speaks highly of Paladine (because she is the downloaded soul of Paladine) but speaks negatively of the architect (which she most likely would not if she was also the downloaded soul of him too.) I got the impression that the old lady/Palladine and the architect were different people. So wha happenned to him unless he was downloaded too (like into Michael).

Maybe Michael learned hypnosis to forget all traces his past life, but still falls parey to knowing too many things intuitively (like how the policewoman had visions of the girl, how he pieced the incantation together, and how he eventually sees the bloodmarked eye of the girl showing the transformation was effected.)

I just thought it tell tale when the old lady's son tries to siphon all the blood from Michael. The ritual is to transfuse blood from the source to the new body they intend to download the old soul into. So why siphon the blood out of Michael unless he is an old soul that eventually will be downloaded into a younger body.

Maybe something that was to be uncovered in a sequel.
