did this movie quietly sneak up on anyone else and knock you out--if anyone fits this bill id like todiscuss it with you--this is my first message board so cut me some slack.....

yep..this was one of those movies which left me reeling...i just couldnt get my head round it. In short, it blew me away, and I mean that seriously. The only other film which had the same effect on me was Michael Mann's "Heat".

Absolutely. This is a movie that haunted me for years. I still think of that final shot with those waving legs in the sea. Beautiful, beautiful movie!

Yeah this movie created a narcotic-like effect that lingered for hours afterwards. It's mood is very similiar to the film "Le Mari de la coiffeuse" (The Hairdresser's Husband) http://imdb.com/title/tt0100112/

I first saw this movie back in 2004 now is 2007 and here I am on imdb looking at it, reading about it! It haunts me. I love it.

Don't need recovery per se, but yes - the movie caught me off - guard. A great movie!

The best movie i watched this year, and it's december now. Just amazing movie!
