sharethe first song behind the credits is Asie Payton; "i love you". His record company is Fat Possum Records, they also provided a lot of music for the movie by other artists.

hi! can someone please post the tracklist or just give me a clue where i can find it on the net? i'm from germany and recently watched the movie on tv, i didn't find the movie itself so great but i just loved the soundtrack. the credit said there would be a regulary OST to buy, but i couldn't find a damn thing about it anywhere (seems like they actually never released the OST, huh?), so now i don't want to buy the DVD just because of the credits tracklist or wait an eternity before it's on german tv again.. can someone please help me out? (i already checked the fat-possum site, but there are a few too many bands to check them all out to find the artists/songs i'm looking for..) thx soooo much in advance! ;o)
shareI'm looking too and I've tried everywhere. Sorry!
shareI also loved the music but didn't think much of the movie and like the rest of you, I am also trying to find the soundtrack.
sigh
We tried too and can't find it- Even Google doesnt know- tried Fat Possum and no reply
shareHello,
I know the soundtrack was never released!!! It was mentioned on the credits of the movie but was never actually released. The composer of the instrumental parts is David Bergeaux. Hope this was helpfull to you.
The soundtrack was concieved but never released. Most of the blues artists are Fat Possum Records artists -- Asie Payton, TJ Ford, Burnside and others. With the exception of Otis Taylor, a colorado bluesman who came into the studio and did some work with David Beargaud. Otis is the voice behind the driving blues of billy bob driving to New Orleans half way into the movie.

I also had two tracks in the movie with my old band name Dexibel. The track "Feel Me" is available to hear under my new band PopiKoK at iacmusic.com/PopiKoK. I did like the acting and the script up to the ending. If you enjoy the track get back to me with your email and I'll MP3 you
Thanks, Michael & PopiKoK
I also loved this track and started to try and find a recorded version as the soundtrack seems to have never been released. While looking I ran accross this from the Fatpossum site "Asie Payton died of a heart attack on May 19, 1997, in Holly Ridge, Mississippi. It occurred in the early afternoon, while he was driving a tractor in the same fields he'd worked most of his sixty years. For all of 1995 and most 1996, Fat Possum tried unsuccessfully to convince Asie that the world outside Mississippi needed to hear him. But despite living below the poverty level and desperately needing the easy money of a gig, he could not be lured away from Washington County for more than a couple of hours."
Oh and the song is available on an Asie Payton album called "Worried" from fat possum. Great stuff!
