god what can i say, that woman was all about the cause, as the seasons went on i went to sympathize more and more with her and less and less with the strike team!

I love Claudette. CCH Pounder was a powerhouse. Very few people could convincingly stand toe to toe with Mackey, but she was one of them.

Well it couldn't be right? I mean Lem's dead in The Shield.. I guess it would be possible if he was either undercover or an outlaw biker BEFORE going on the strike team in the shield lol

I love how two of biggest acting powerhouses who could stand in Mackey's face and never back down were females: CCH Pounder and Glenn Close.

Heck, at the end, it's even a female who locks Mackey up in his self-made symbolic prison.

Do you remember the episode "Bottom Bitch?" I was so disgusted by Vic shoving that gun in that prostitute's mouth and making her say that she was his bitch. I will never forget that. That's why I was ecstatic to see Vic being put in his place by women.

Yeah. On rewatches, it's really obvious just how misogynistic Vic is. He's not standing up for women because he thinks it's right to stand up for people. He's standing up for them because he doesn't think they can take care of themselves. And even then, it's only for the ones that can do things for him.

The only other FX shows I've watched are Nip/Tuck and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I'll probably check out Justified and Sons of Anarchy some day. Some day.

I just started season 6. Claudette just officially earned her "bad ass bitch" badge when she told Kavanaugh that the jig was up and put a stop to his *beep* I feel like Aceveda would've just danced around the obvious truth and fed more into Kavanaugh's BS.

i just found her anger breakouts so realistic, you know? there's a couple of scenes like that in the series that brings me chills, like when the chief and Acaveda is bullsh%#iting her ( cant remember exactly when), it was fking awesome

@carleboyy In s02e02 she bulldozed Vic and Aceveda: "What happened here today was bullshït! ...I'm gonna find the truth. And if I have to go through both of you, I'll get it."

Claudette and Dutch's odd-couple relationship was a highlight of the series. They could've made a show with just those two as the main leads. That's how great The Shield was.

That's a great scene. I'm sure they thought, "Oh, crap. We just pissed off probably the most tenacious and stubborn detective on the force."

One of the most badass detectives on TV. Always staying on the straight and narrow, seeking truth and justice. I love when CCH Pounder had the long monologues to get criminals to confess, it's pure epicness.

Yes, she was amazing. Such a compelling and believable good person. I hope there are a few of her in the real world...
