Just Finished Season 5 (spoilers of course)
Another season has ended....and what a great one it was. I really enjoyed the psychological war between Mackey and Kavanaugh. Especially when they went on each others ex-wifes at the end. Great stuff.
Lem dying....I've seen that coming. But it only dawned on me that it would be Shane when they met all alone without Vic and Ronnie at the end of the last ep. I thought he might suicide or die on the way to Mexico in some gunfire. But no...Shane....with a grenade. I will miss Lem. The concious, the human heart of the team. But these are also the reasons why he couldn't make it to the end. He had his chances to leave the team before. But then again...that was probably his only family. It was very sad....yes, even heartbreaking to see him go, just looking at Shane in his last breaths.... RIP Lem.
Kavanaugh got away a bit easy (yet). I hope there are still things to come with him. He deserves worse. I know, I'm rooting for the "bad" guy Mackey here. But there's no good and bad in this show....there are only grey areas.
Acting-wise it's been also a great season. Chiklis, Goggins, Johnson and Whitaker have been great. Pushing each other to new highs.
Not sure I like Claudette as chief. Like I said before: I don't like her....but that's more thanks to CCH Pounders good acting skills.
So, one down in the Strike Team. Who's next....I'll find out soon. Surely the Strike Team took a big hit....and is slowly breaking apart.
