Disturbing

It seems somewhat ironical that Vlastimil Brodský made a suicide while his character in the movie had a joy for living when death was near for him and those close to him. Is that like the death of the clown: the masquared surface doesn't show the inner pain? Or what was the story behind him?

I just watched this film and read on this site that he committed suicide. It made me really sad (as any suicide does). My brother said he must have finished everything he had wanted to do and ended it. He found his mansion.

"Many girls want to be carnal with me... because I'm such a premium dancer!"

Oh, ! He was so powerfull, so moving , so absurd (like a Beckett character). He gave me a so beautiful memory of the movie!

I really liked his performance in this film, too. From what I understand, he took his own life as he was suffering from a terminal illness (cancer? I don't quite recall). Also ironically, the name of the town, in English, where he died would be translated as "Sunshine."

As "Sunshine" was the ending of the movie. He let us a great testimony as an actor. I wish a lot of ppl the luck to watch this beatiful movie, :-).
