in the episode where sharon's grandfather comes to visit he makes racial slurs. when sharon tells this to dion he replies: your jewish-english,maria is chinese-italian,brock is black...and i am....charming. he does gay things the whole series, maybe he's gay or something. what do you think?
Yeah, I think he is gay because (stupid reason) hes name isn't Dion they just call him that because of his fav singer Celine Dion and not alot of boys like her singing you know what i mean??
Dang..I didn't know there was a gay guy in this show. I thought Braceface actually came out in 2004. Well I didn't hear nothing of it 'til that Marathon of it on the Disney Channel months back. I bet I won't see none of this on Disney.
Yes Dion is gay .. in the serie Sharon tries to hook him up with a boy she met ... but the dull thing is in the serie you never hear anyone say the word GAY
Maybe the think we allready know hes gay ... or because this is a cartoon they ar not allowed to say it
Yeah, it's a shame that they don't say THE word :) BUT! I was amazed that a cartoon like that even bothered to approach the subject! In fact, when you think of it, Sharon and Maria act as all this is very natural. The bad thing was to try setting Dion up without telling him, not that he was gay.
My mom and I were so amazed by this episode 'cause even if they don't say the word, it's quite clear that these 2 boys are gay.
There's still hope in this world... :P

Yup, he's gay. I LOVED that episode...not because it was about gay things, but because I kow how it feels when people try to set you up. Darn annoying...well, maybe I'm not the prettiest girl, but I can choose my own guys, thanks very much...

You might. Disney is one of the most gay-friendly companies in the world. Plus by the sound of it, its never actually mentioned that the character is gay. I find myself wondering if this is the same character I asked about in a different thread?
you can say gay on television, it's always on sitcoms. it's due to the fact that it's still a cartoon, aimed at a younger demographic.
plus, i like the fact that they worked around the word, and didn't feel a need to imply it with alternatives, but showed it by natural actions, though very stereotypical, it worked.
i was just flicking thorugh the channels today and i saw this episode on (on the channel popgirl here in the uk) i was relly suprised to see them doing this in a kids cartoon show. but not in a bad suprised way i think its brilliant! joel xxx
I don't remember there being any episodes where Dion is "out". I think what you see is what we got. If there had been episodes, it would have been mentioned on wikipedia-- they're sticklers for details like that.
