But if he's the one behind it all, then what was he doing with his two collegues when McNess spots them...it looks like they were ready for an attack, but didn't even seem bothered that a loud Scot was pointing a rifle at them.
Are they meant to be others that Freidrich is testing, or just part of his test?
That only Basset know, but in my opinion: German soldiers were only a part of Friedrich`s test.

And i liked the concept of the trench being alive and i love horrors but this was more of the type of movie that gets you thinking about what is happening and at the end its like, dont worry guys its all a dream all you have to do is think of a big sexy women then you can *beep* her all night.
