Kenneth Branagh is the best narrator ever.

His narrations are good in all the "Walking" trilogy. He's got that voice meant for narration, you know?

Don't know what the f@#% he was doing in the crap that was "Wild Wild West".

Agree... Great narration.

David Attenborough is the best natural history presenter and narrator, mostly because he has a massive library of knowledge to back what he says with absolute conviction. He's also a great down to earth bloke, much admired by most people who watch his excellent nature documentaries. His contribution to the genre alone is worth more than anyone on the planet.

Although Kenneth Branagh is reading a script prepared by the producers and probably with no or very little input of his own on the accuracy of the information being given he does have an eloquent voice and is excellent when pronouncing all those strange names of dinosaurs, beasts and monsters, some of which seem like tounge-twisters on paper. I do enjoy his narration for the "Walking With..." series, he is very likable, but "best ever"... nah!

Laurence Olivier also provided an excellent and sometimes chilling narration for landmark "The World at War" series. Sometimes it just comes down to the voice and tone suiting the content. For example, could you imagine David Attenborough narrating "COPS" episodes?

Since I posted this message, I've become acquainted with David Attenborough's narrations, and yes, I'd put him above Branagh.

But that said, I still hold Branagh in very high regard.
