Beautifully Done Movie
I finally opened my copy of the DVD that I bought on the release date last year. I watched the first half by myself, then my brother in law joined me for the last half. It brought him to tears, which I think doesn't happen too often w/movies. It made me appreciate my own parish's patron saint a LOT more.
I thought the acting was well done and Lindsay made a wonderful Therésé.
A beautiful story of faith and family and sacrifice.
And yes, Therese DID suffer - she lost her mother at the age of 4. And one by one her elder sisters left to join the convent. And she offered her sufferings up for Christ.
