Jim Siedow in another TCM film? (NOT HOW IT SOUNDS)

I know this man has passed on, but I was watching this documentary for the firs ttime and I overheard Jim Siedow (1&2) say he would've returned in a TCM film. This was made three years before the remake and his death.

I remember hearing somewhere, maybe a website, and then here on IMDb, that Jim was offered a cameo appearence as the 'Grandpa' in Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, the fourth film, but he turned them down.
