Does anyone know when its coming out on DVD in the UK? I'm studying german at A-level and my teacher wants us to see as many german films as possible (so far ive only seen good bye lenin). And it sounds like an interesting film, which is a bonus.
It's only funny till someone gets hurt...then it's hillarious!
As far as I know the only country where "Tattoo" has been released on DVD so far is Germany and that DVD only has a German audio track and subtitles. However, the movie is itself pretty damn good, especially from a visual point of view (camerawork, lighting, locations).
Two good German productions that actually are availabale in Germany with optional English subtitles are "Nichts bereuen" starring Daniel Brühl (from "Good bye, Lenin!") and "Das Leben ist eine Baustelle" directed by Wolfgang Becker (you guessed it: from "Good bye, Lenin!").
Are there any region-free versions of this available anywhere? I would just straight-out buy it going on what Ive heard about it. And if there is, does it have English subtitles?
Exterminate all rational thought. That is the conclusion I have come to
I live on the west coast of Canada (Vancouver, B.C.) and I just rented Tattoo from my local independant video store...haven't watched it yet but I've heard great things about it! It must be out on DVD in all of North America by now.
