Why was this movie called Stolen Summer? I really like the movie, but I can't figure out the title. Is it because Danny's summer was "stolen" from him due to illness? Isn't Pete the main character, though, not Danny? I only have the VHS version, so if this is explained on the DVD, please let me know. Thanks.

To me, everyone's summer was enriched, enriched in experiences anyway.
I think it was a poor title, but much about it was poorly done.
Bear in mind that I didn't see the movie, but I'm guessing by "Stolen Summer" they mean stealing time that this dying kid didn't necessarily have, like stealing time from death, like their friendship kept him alive. Or it was just a dramatic-seeming title that sounded good.
