Great Movie!

I picked this up at the video store after waiting for the US release(which didn't happen) and I was expecting a bad movie. (Face it most direct to video movies are pretty bad) However this movie was great. I loved how it was in the Fight Club/Go/Snatch vein. Those are my favorite types of movies and I would like to congratulate the directors on a good job. May you two have more chances to bring good movies out there for audiences.

GREAT @#%$#^# MOVIE!!

I could not agree more. It wasn't just good. It was FANTASTIC.

For half of the film, I sat there laughing and nodding at the clever editing and directing , and for the other half, I sat there slack-jawed and in disbelief that it wasn't released in theaters first.

Does anyone know how this wound up straight to DVD?

I saw the producers did Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Memento and donnie Darko -- and this is absolutely in a league with those films.

Oh well. It makes for a great rental (although now I'm going to purchase it)

Drew Davwalt and David Schneider congrats if you read this and I will be looking for you guys.
last note: I think I'm the only person on the planet who doesn't like stifler, but I love Ben Macgowen.

I have to disagree, Tank Express 2000, this movie wasn't bad at all. In fact, I think it's pretty damn good. I think this is an interesting turn for Seann William Scott. The majority of the characters he has played thus far seem silly and cartoonish (e.g. Dude, Where's My Car?, American Pie, Evolution, even The Rundown). Stifler fans can see him in a totally different light in this film. For instance, Stifler is obnoxious, fowl-mouthed, perverted, horny, almost one-dimensional (not that I have a problem with that). However, his character in Stark Raving Mad is more somber, serious, level-headed, rational, cooler and more self-controlled (e.g., remember how he turned down the bj from Kitten). In addition, all Stifler just thought about was sex and was ready to jump at any opportunity for it. McGewan, on the other hand, was more multi-dimensional and less shallow (I liked how he had an interest in nature shows and documentaries and was quoting things he had learned.) I'm not saying this is the best movie in the whole damn world but it was better than I expected, especially for something that went straight to video.
