Funniest moments in this movie.

For me, there are two hillarious scenes.

1. When the second goalie was confronted with Team Evil's entire team, and he picks up his phone to call his lover, only we realize that he's talking to her husband, and asks him to deliver to her what he said.

2. When baldie girl comes in as a Goalie at the end, and goes to the opponents goal and stands next to him.

hahahahaha Just thinking about these two makes me laugh right now.

The scene with the crazy guy "Explosion" at the steam bun stand is great.

reply

"Why don't you try doing that to my face?" WACK!

He who laughs last doesn't get the joke.

reply

It's when they come out for their first game, and Stephen Chow screams at the top of his lungs to the fans thanking them for their support. It's funny just how loud and enthusiastic he is, even though their are only janitors.

reply

When stephen chow is explaining shaolin to golden leg at the beginning and it cuts to the present day with golden leg in the outfit of the shaolin master and he takes off the costume. That was great.

reply

Oh and their first game when they are all getting beat down and stephen chow is hiding behind the big brother who is down, unconscious and foaming at the mouth, that is hilarious.

reply

I haven't seen it in a while, but I love when the beer bottle flies out of nowhere and knocks the guy in the head.

reply

Yeah, that flying beer bottle cracked me up. The timing of that scene is just perfect, because you hear the bottle before you see it, just long enough for your brain to think 'what's that sound?', then WHAP and down he goes. Great stuff...

The thorn defends the rose, yet it is peaceful and does not seek conflict.

When they are showcasing their skills to the media, and Golden Leg kicks his older brother into the sky.

Summer goals: Bench 225lbs and run a 5k in 20 minutes, on the same day.

The part where the coach is behind the wall with the can, and chow is on the other side of the wall fighting them dudes. He takes them all out and the only one left is some skinning wimpy dude, and he starts doing done crappy kung fu stance to scare chow. So funny lol It near the end of this clip

I think on the first time watching it...the funniest was similar to what a previous poster said...but in this (subbed version) where Golden Leg is coaching them...just starting, and all of a sudden Sing grabs the ball and says "we get it!" And proceeds to boot the ball 500,000 feet in the air.

Also the bit during the first match when one of the brothers says "they are only janitors" and Sing smacks him.

Everybody likes the Shen.

reply

Another thing which is deeply funny is how Vicky Zhao can even be remotely physically unattractive.

Everybody likes the Shen.

The scene where they do get to pick new shoes from their sponsors.

First Stephen Chow pushes the sponsors away and they start grabbing all the shoes....the sponsor guy tries to get back to Chow but gets smacked in the face! LOL !! Cracks me up every time!

reply

one of the best scenes

I also love the 'crowd' consisting of two old womans trying to clean up, they throw all their brooms.

Also Chow when he gives a message out to his friends all hysterical and crazy

reply

I laughed my ass off during the scene where Chow takes Zhao to the mall and touches her hair only to have flies fly out. He tries to swat one but slaps her in the face instead. All she does is go "did you get it"?

"I want a frisbee made of Mexico."

reply

lol, this movie was great, so much funnier than the comedy movies of today. there were too many funny scenes, but one of the best ones that had me n my mates cracking up was the scene where sixth small brother (fat one) runs after his eggs and sing throws it in ironshirts mouth lol, twice! hahaha, that was too funny.

reply

One scene i thought was hilarious is when they start winning games and become more famous and the TV crew start interviewing. The reporter asks them to demonstrate some moves and Stephen Chow just kicks his teammates up the arse in the air.

reply

When they are playing in their first game as a team and it literally turns into a battlefield with guns and barbed wire.

The spanner and hammer up the shorts!

"Your mother puts license plates in your underwear? How do you sit?!"

reply

The Shaolin Kung Fu song performed by Golden Leg and Big Brother was great.

If you speak Cantonese you will understand it truly is a masterpiece!
