Your ideal ending??
Just wondering what you viewers ideal ending to this movie would have been? Give it to me short and sweet. I have a short attention span :)

Considering the Christian overtones that dominate the film, there's really only one way the film could have ended. Humanity survives and Mel Gibson's faith is restored.
shareShould've ended at the part when Mel Gibson stares at the alien in disbelief, and has the flashback about his wife, then the flashback where he talks to Joaquin Phoenix about signs and miracles. We cut to his face once more, as credits roll.

2) M Night stops the movie at the end and says, "just kidding." Credits.
3) Seriously, someone, anyone should've just called it out. "Water? That's the big twist? Leave glasses of water everywhere and the synchronicity of water hating moronic aliens threaten mankind? That can't be what millions of dollars in budget just built. Lawrence Olivier couldn't make this look credible."
Reading the suggestions, I'm really glad M. Night Shyamalan went with the ending he did, lol :)
